With a body length of up to 1.9 meters and weighing up to 20 kg, the pelican feeds on fish and other aquatic creatures, making the lake an ideal habitat for them. The body length is approximately 180 cm, while the wingspan is around 3 meters. The average weight is about 11.5 kilograms, making this bird the heaviest in its genus worldwide.
